Hi Wendy,
I'm Anne & I saw that you are in the 'Sock Madness' so thought I would pop in and say hello :) I too have done 'Monkey' , they are the second pair of socks that I have done ; yours are a lovely colour & I hope you get the tension sorted out. I ,as yet don't have a clue as to making any changes in making socks so this competition will be fun .
Wish I had a knitting club nearby to go to; my Daughter goes to one where she lives and that is in a pub too :)

Yay, you made it!

I love the colourway on those socks. Shame about the tension issues. But still prettypretty!

Horay for you for going to KnitClub! I have made it my mission this week to organise one in Brum.... and I'm not doing too badly at the moment, just have to go and speak to the people in the pub to see if they mind.
RE: Socks - from my experience, if you picked up more stitches around the heel it makes the sock feel a lot looser - that would explain the extra pooling too. I do this all the time (mostly because I am too lazy to pick up a pen and write the number down because I think I will remember how many stitches even when I'm not using a pattern)
Like the new sock pattern and love the colours (I think it is desert flower btw) I was worried for a minute it might be the same pattern that a secret someone might be sending you soon... but it isn't, thank goodness!!! :0)

I love your Monkey socks, I'm trying to decide which yarn in my stash wants to be that pattern. I hope you won't have to frog your sock, that is no fun. I seem to knit tighter on my second sock, don't know why but it has happened a lot.

Just wanted to relate to others how chuffed Wendy was when she got back from her knitting group in the pub. Happiest I have seen her in a while :)
