Update…
Here is the finished photo of my Yediburunlar Jaywalker socks as promised -

..my new clogs which I’m really excited about. I bought these from “The Clogmaker” at a craft fair a few weeks ago. I’ve seen this guy and his clogs at loads of different craft fairs over the past 10 years probably and always looked at the clogs but there’s been some reason or other why I haven’t bought them. This year I tried these on and had to have them – they are my favourite colour (purple) and the graded colour into red looks really great. They have a strap to adjust the width which means they can fit my narrow feet and they were my size….they were the last pair he had like this so were reduced….it was meant to be!
I love clogs – I have a pair of completely wooden carved Belgian clogs which I bought in Bruges on a trip with my mum about 8 years ago. These live by my back door and I slip them on to go out into the garden to hang out washing or pick vegetables. They intrigue everyone who visits to actually see someone wearing wooden clogs.
Since I’ve started knitting socks I’m keen to knit some “clog socks” …I particularly want to knit some to wear with my new purple clogs so I can wear them this winter. If anyone knows a good pattern for knee high socks in thickish yarn then please let me know. Also I need to get some yarn in a colourway to go with my socks….if anyone can recommend a good yarn please do!!!
Finally, for no good reason except I love him – my cat Simpson sleeping in his cat bed this afternoon in the autumn sunshine – isn’t he cute!!!

Lovely knitting. Those socks look great…and the lace…and your clogs! Wow!

Thanks again and congratulations!! Loved your answer, probably because I would love that to happen to me!!! What could be better than to be paid to sit and knit all day????
[...] that’s a skein of Posh Yarn Lucia Sock yarn in Passion which may become socks but on the other hand may become some lace. The colours are very me and I think it’s most likely to become socks as the colours are perfect to go with my clogs [...]
