Orchid – Linen Drape
This is the tail-end of an obsession I had with Rowan Linen Drape last summer, I bought up several packets on eBay as they were ends of dye lots and were a bargain. This left me with a packet and a half in this aqua shade and another two packets in a watermelon pink. With the watermelon I made a vest top from Rowan 31 “Flame” which I wore all last summer and this and a vintage knit lace top for my best friend from a free pattern on Rowan’s website.
The aqua turned into this jumper “Orchid” (also from Rowan 31) knit on 3mm and 3 3/4mm needles. It wasn’t finished till late in the summer and so didn’t get sewn up and then I forgot I had it so it didn’t get sewn up for this summer….this may have to be sewn up for my holiday…
