Jasmine – cardigan in Rowan 4ply cotton
“Jasmine” – a cardigan in Rowan 4ply cotton from Rowan magazine 39. I began knitting this earlier this year as I thought it would be lovely for the summer. Unfortunately I didn’t read the instructions very thoroughly before I started as I had fallen in love with it and I didn’t appreciate that the lovely lace edging which made it such a fantastic cardi was crochet ….. and I can’t crochet. So, it’s been in the bag whilst I learn to crochet. I have to get this one out as I really want to take it on my holiday in just over 2 week’s time. I have even asked a friend, who can crochet, if they would finish it for me if I can’t do it but I am determined to crack it…..

[...] Opening the second packet revealed all this – a pattern for a Wavy Scarf from Dragonpine Designs (no photo so it will be a bit of a surprise as I knit), Some sparkly circular needles (I suspect Addis as I have some 8mm dpns that are similar?), a crochet hook. Was a bit worried when I saw this as I can’t crochet (see my post Jasmine ) but the hook is just for adding the fringe to the scarf (phew!) [...]
